PCI Passthrough (Peripheral Component Interconnect Passthrough) allows a user to give control of physical devices to guests. PCI Passthrough can be used to assign a PCI device, such as a disk controller, firewire controller or soundcard, to a virtual machine guest, giving it full and direct access to the PCI device.
