Term
Container Platform/Container Orchestration
Abbreviation
Definition
Containers are a method of separating an application from the operating system and the physical infrastructure it uses to connect to the network. A container platform or container orchestration defines how to coordinate the containers in the cloud when a multi-container packaged application is deployed. Container orchestration defines not only the initial deployment of the containers, but also the management of the multi-containers as a single entity, such as availability, scaling and networking of the containers.
