Purpose
EtherCAT Technology Group (ETG) focuses on the Ethernet for Control Automation Technology. EtherCAT is a real-time Industrial Ethernet protocol that is suitable for hard- and soft real-time requirements in automation technology, in test and measurement and other applications. ETG provides multiple Technical Working Groups, in which experts work on various aspects of EtherCAT, and all activities are focused on keeping EtherCAT stable and interoperable.
