Description
SDN architecture provides a network to enable self-management of supported services and applications. Scalability and low latency target cloud computing and other DCI applications. Integrates EMS/OSS, NE and SDN controller features under a network orchestrator. Network planning and Path Computation Element (PCE) capabilities are integrated within the SDN solution for data and optical layer programmability. System operational parameters (amplifier control, gain equalization, tilt control, wavelength assignments, automatic laser shutdown, channel power optimization and loader channel management) are managed through the management system. All programmable elements of the network are abstracted from the node and network level through an open interface to enable path calculation based on latency, hop count, OSNR, node disjoint and link disjoint.
