An SDN smart switch that provides the support of OpenFlow 1.3 specifications and offers hardware throughput with software functionality and flexible programmability. It is a compact software/hardware platform provided in a stand-alone box that serves as a platform for SDN and NFV implementation. Embeds the support of Quality of Service (QoS) features into its hardware, making it a solution for QoS policy management across a network. Controls flow-forwarding on any level of granularity, including per subscriber, per application and per business policy. Supports policy enforcement capabilities, such as tiered shaping, max-min weighted fair sharing and hierarchical QoS policy and control feasibility and supports a direct fabric between the traffic data-path to the local micro server.
