Enea's strategic direction is the Carrier-Grade Open Source Network Operating System (COSNOS), which is a system-wide software platform for next-generation network nodes and functions. The scope of the Enea COSNOS incorporates all aspects of Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and can consist of everything but the application itself, including operating systems, middleware and necessary open source building blocks from industry collaboration projects (OPNFV, OpenDataPlane, OpenStack, OpenFlow, Open vSwitch).
